Jim Croft (1947-2025) was a bookbinder and papermaker based in Santa, ID. He specialized in making books, paper and tools from raw materials that were home grown, locally sourced, or salvaged. For over 40 years, he researched, recreated and taught old world methods of processing fiber, wood, bone and hides into exquisitely crafted books that embody his commitment to the land.

Though by no means comprehensive, this website is the first ever online catalog of his work.
