Paper - 2010 Old Ways class paper: Uncooked cotton futon stuffing and blue jeans.

Sewing - Pack sewn on double raised cords

Trim - Head only with plough; Fore edge carving with hand tools, wet color pencil

Boards - Quarter sawn, air dried Indiana Beech: handsawn, machine planed, all else by hand

Endbands - Back beveled, silk

Leather - Indigo dyed brain tanned buckskin by Mel

Page 217 - 219: documentation of paper types, watermarks, and stories about the book is inscribed.

I taught a class in fore edge carving using this book - had to go really deep because the edge is not solid until you go deep, but that makes a special effect.
