Materials
Paper - Made at Moulin de Verger, France with a stamper: flax and hemp rags. My wife and I stayed there for a month. I tore the rags.
Sewing - Melody’s handspun flax thread from a cat’s nest (antique nest of flax fiber that cat’s slept on) at Moulin de Verger.
Boards - Idaho sycamore, quarter sawn air dried for many years (7?).
Endband - Both endbands are the same as the main sewing thread. Due to extreme economy (like in the old days sometimes) one edge is untrimmed and angled at about 30 degrees with artful economy.
Covering - Covered with Billy Metcalf’s deer parchment, with patches to bring it to full size.
